Dear Evergreen Family,

As the lucky principal of Evergreen Elementary School, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you as we embark on the exciting journey of the 2024-2025 school year. Our primary goal is to ensure that every child, along with their families, feels embraced, connected, and an integral part of our Mustang community.

At Evergreen, we are committed to nurturing not only academic growth but also the development of vital skills that will equip our students for the challenges of the future. Within our diverse community, where cultures, ethnicities, and economic backgrounds converge, our dedicated educators invest countless hours into crafting engaging classroom experiences that ignite our students' passion for learning. By leveraging best practices and harnessing the power of academic data, our teachers empower students to set, strive for, and achieve their personal growth and improvement goals.

For our dedicated Mustangs who qualify, our Resource Room support, the enriched environment of our Developmental Learning Center, and the tailored assistance provided through LAP (Learning Assistance Program) are instrumental in their educational journey. Being a proud Title I school means that all our 400-plus students benefit from additional resources, staffing, and equipment. We wholeheartedly embrace this Title designation and the myriad opportunities it offers.

Our first school day for this academic year is slated for Tuesday, September 3, 2024, with school hours running from 9:00 AM to 3:20 PM. Students wishing breakfast are invited to enter the school cafeteria through the east side cafeteria door 15 minutes prior to the bell at 8:45 AM. The bells will chime, and the school day will begin at 9:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. As for our Late Start Wednesdays, breakfast will be served at 9:25 AM, with classes beginning at 9:40 AM to facilitate invaluable teacher collaboration.

While most of our eager learners kick off their scholastic journey on September 3 at 9:00 AM, our Kindergarteners will start their adventure on Friday, September 6 at 9:00 AM.

I encourage you to consider becoming an active participant in our Parent-Teacher Organization by attending our monthly meetings, held every third Tuesday of the month in the school library, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

As we joyfully welcome back our Mustangs and their families, our commitment to the health and safety of our students, teachers, and staff remains unwavering.
