Letter from Mr. Danford

Hello Evergreen families.

I surely hope you and your family are well.

I am so sorry if you are facing challenges and hardships. Know that Mead Eats begins tomorrow for free grab-and-go meals, as does child care for first responders and health care providers. See the school district’s website for more information Mead354.org or call 465-6000.

Check the school’s FB page regularly as well. I’ll post lots of content to help us through these unsettling times.

Connect with your teachers via email, if you need anything school related. During a typical work week, teachers will get back to you in less than 24 hours.

Remember, schedules for kids are important, as is learning time, and try to limit that video game time.

I’m trying to stay connected with you all as well. I will post a new “Mr. Danford Shares…” videos on FB each week day. Search YouTube for all of the videos in the series. Seach evergreenelementarymead.

Reach out if you need anything. We’re here for each other and I know we’ll get through this together.

FREE Meals for Kids

Beginning Monday, March 23, children, age 18 and under, can enjoy a FREE, nutritious, "grab-and-go" breakfast and lunch while our schools are closed. Registration is not required and children do not need to be Mead students to participate. However, children must be present to pick up a sack meal, which includes lunch and breakfast for the following day. Read more . . .

Packet pickup

Good afternoon Mustang Families,

As I'm sure you are aware, proactively that our students will be on leave for the next several weeks. As Mrs. Montecucco, Ms. Tina, and I shared with our kiddos this morning, we would like for them to remain "learner ready" while on this leave from school.

Teachers and district learning specialists have created and put together learning packets. We would like to get these learning materials into our kids' hands. Most will be sent home. However, if your son or daughter was not at school today, we'd like to ask that you drop by school yet this afternoon, to grab the learning materials. We will be here until 5:00.

We would surely love to get these neat materials and packets into our kiddos' hands.

Hope to see you a bit later.

Mr. Danford,

Evergreen Principal
